Microsoft reveals the Xbox One, but may have lost

So today Microsoft had a showing to reveal their next-gen console and like every other gamer, I was anxious yet nervous about this and from what I saw I'm more nervous than anxious.  The name wasn't Nextbox, or Xbox 720, or Durango as some people were saying the name would be, but instead they call it the Xbox One.  When I heard that I was confused because it didn't make sense to me but they said that it's the ultimate All-In-One entertainment system and then they showed the console, which in my eyes and in the eyes of others look like a VCR from the 80's or 90's.  Nonetheless, in this reveal I figured they were going to talk about how great the games will look, and the kind of games that will benefit from this and what titles we'll see on this Console.  Instead of that we got the majority of them talking about the Non-Gaming aspects of this Gaming console in which I zoned out and started downloading Lego Video game demos and started to clean my room.  Although the specs did look cool I wasn't interested in them except for the fact that you turn on your Xbox by saying "Xbox On".

And then when they showed games they didn't show gameplay, they showed Pre-rendered Footage of games and tried to act like it was gameplay.  Then they showed that with this next gen console reveal that EA was going to show their new Engine called "Ignite" which is suppose to make games more well defined and detailed but like everyone else, I wasn't interested seeing as I haven't played an EA Sports game since Madden '10.  Then they talked about some more non gaming entertainment and other mumbo jumbo and then they talked about CoD and I once again zoned out as they they were talking about how with Xbox one the graphics will look amazing but I zoned out so I couldn't care less.

Overall I'm still skeptical about this next gen console and if I had to choose between the Xbox one and the ps4 right now, I wouldn't know because both reveals were kinda lackluster in my eyes and they were mostly directed towards the Non gamers, The Sports fans and the Call of Duty crowd.  I will have to wait until E3 to see what both consoles will really bring to the table.
