Assassin's Creed 4 Announcement

So it looks like the next addition to the Assassin's Creed Story was announced today from Ubisoft and they say that they will be releasing more info about the game itself but from the look of the cover art and the title, it looks like the Assassin will be a Pirate of some sort.  But earlier today they released a little bio about the assassin that we will be playing as.

Info on New Assassin Edward:

Edward Kenway (unknown - 1735) was the father of Haytham Kenway and a member of the Assassin Order. He was the grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor) and an ancestor of Desmond Miles.

that's all that we know as of right now but stay tuned because when i find out? that's when you will find out and i'm excited about this new game but my question is how can there be another Assassin's Creed game involving Desmond when Desmond died in the last one?  The only way i see this happening is if they use Desmond's Dad.  To me that would be the only way this will work, unless they have it that this game happens before Assassin's Creed 3 in which wouldn't make any sense what so ever.

Alright guys that's all the time for now

My Opinion On The Slam Dunk Contest

So this weekend was the NBA All-Star weekend and just like every year I like everyone else was looking forward to the Slam Dunk Contest and once again, the contest in my eyes was lack luster.  For the past few years, the once highly anticipated Slam Dunk Contest has lost the Shine it once had those many years ago and honestly I believe that the Slam Dunk Contest needs a complete makeover.  First of all, I don't like how the contestants went from the top stars that everyone knows to players that only fans of that team know.  I remember when Slam Dunk contests had people like Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Josh Smith, Dominique Wilkins, Spud Webb, Dr. J and Michael Jordan just to name a few.  Now the contestants are like the 9th player off the bench or guys who don't really get that much play time on the floor.  I believe they need to get back to the Stars of the NBA getting together to throw down and come up with creative dunks instead of having them on the sidelines speculating the event like Lebron James.  Lebron has been in the league for a while and has always teased that he will participate in the contest but then he always backs down and honestly I for one would like to see him actually have fun and just throw down.

The second thing that I don't like about the slam dunk contest these past few years is the unlimited attempts that each contestant gets when it comes to completely a dunk.  I remember when it was one and done where you only get one chance and if you miss it you get one replacement dunk and then that was it for you. This year, the participants had so many times to try to attempt the dunk that at one point I zoned out on the dunk contest and was laughing at the jokes that Charles Barkley and Shaq were making at the expense of everyone that came to their mind.  I believe if they went back to the One and Done rule then it would make the contestants take more time in preparing their dunks before the contest even begins.

The third thing that I don't like is the use of too many props and flare that the contestants have been using the last few years.  These last few years it seems like the contestants have been using too many props and flare that now people don't talk about the dunk but everything else around the dunk.  For example the 2011 Slam Dunk Contest when Blake Griffin won he had a car, a 20-30 piece church choir and Kenny Smith as his Hype Man.  He had all of that just so he could jump over the hood of a car in what most consider the most overrated dunk in the history of the contest because everyone was hyping up the fact that he jumped over the hood and thought that that was the most amazing thing they saw.  Where as I on the other hand, was not impressed at all at the whole thing that year because he didn't jump over the car he jumped over the hood.  If he would've jumped over the roof of the car I would've been impressed because honestly anybody that got hops can jump over the hood of a car so there's nothing special about that.  Now there are moments where props are alright like back in 2009, Dwight Howard brought out another basketball hoop and raised it to 12 feet to show that he could jump higher to get to the rim to dunk the ball and I was alright with that.

Now I understand that some people will always ask well what else is left for someone to do in a Dunk Contest that hasn't been done before and I honestly do understand that some people are skeptical when it comes to the contest and they like to see props but the over saturation of props in this contest is doing too much for me which is why I liked this year when Terrence Ross told Gerald Green no props when it came down to those two in the finals of this years Contest.  Now the dunks weren't amazingly awesome because now we are in the age where we can play NBA 2K13 and perform dunks that are more creative than what the real world players perform.  I even heard one person say that the only way the Slam Dunk Contest will be amazing again will be if someone jumps over a bus.

Well here's my opinion on the NBA Slam Dunk Contest and hopefully next years contest in New Orleans will be better than the last few years.  We are in an age where older fans grew up where they saw Vince Carter stick his elbow into the rim as he dunks the ball, Michael Jordan jumps from the foul line,  Spud Webb showed the world that you don't have to be 6 foot to dunk a ball, Dee Brown performing the Blind Dunk and Kenny Smith's under the leg off the backboard reverse two handed dunk.  We the older generation of NBA fans that believe we have seen it all, are looking for the one dunk contest that we will all enjoy.

alright guys that's all the time I have to today... what do you guys think? do you believe that the Dunk Contest can be revived and restored?

Devil May Cry Review

Hey guys its that time once again for another Black Chivalrous Nerd Video Game review and this time the video game is one that true gamers were waiting for. This game is what I would consider one of the Staples and poster franchises when it comes to thinking about the history of Capcom Games. This game features the return of a familiar fan favorite before he became the protagonist we all know, love and try to cosplay as. The game I'm talking about is the reboot of Capcom's Dmc: Devil May Cry.

In this reboot of the series, Dante knows that he is not human, but also that he is not like the demons that have tormented him throughout his life. Caught between worlds, he feels like an outcast. He is now discovering and coming to terms with what it means to be the child of a demon and an angel. This split personality has a real impact on gameplay with Dante being able to call upon angel and demon abilities at will, transforming his Rebellion sword on the fly to dramatically affect both combat and movement.

While most of the Internet or the "Douchebag Gamers" were upset and pissed and moaned and complained about how Capcom decided to shorten Dante's hair and make him look all Emo, I on the other hand like the change that Capcom chose to do. My reason is because this is suppose to be the Prequel to the series and we don't know what Dante looked like before the original DMC and maybe just MAYBE, Capcom wanted to give Dante a different look.

"*Gasp* why would Capcom do this? I like Dante the way the he original is. Why would they try something different?" Interesting question Douchebag Gamer who will complain and cry about the game but will decide to play it and here's my answer. It's Capcom's choice and right to change Dante if they damn well please so if they wanted Dante to have three Mohawks, then dammit let Capcom do it. If you don't like the way that Capcom run things then don't purchase and play the damn game and stick to ya damn Madden and Call Of Duty and keep telling yourself you're a "hardcore gamer" (Insert side eye here).

But anyway back to the game, I really like how Capcom teamed up with Ninja Theory, the people behind Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Heavenly Sword, as well as working with the world famous Unreal Engine for a spectacular, awesome, beautiful, visually stunning video game. The soundtrack is awesome and definitely gets you in the mood to kill all the demons as you fight your way through limbo and the real world in order to get to Mundus, the man that killed Dante's father and mother. The gameplay is also brand new and I like that because honestly I like the free use of the camera instead of the stiff camera that the original DMC games offered us and the controlling of Dante is more fluid like as oppose to the old controlling system.

As you play the game you will face puzzles and obstacles that require you to use either your demon or angel abilities to progress throughout the levels. Like for example in one level, in order to progress you need to switch between pulling objects closer to you using your demon weapon Arbiter and flying into things using your angel weapon Osiris which is a very reliable Grappling Hook. Which leads me into my topic which is the toys that you get to play with in the game.

The first two weapons you get is the staple weapons Rebellion which is Dante's signature Sword and his trusty twin Pistols Ebony and Ivory in which on pistol is black and the other is white (I know shocker right?). The next two weapons you get is the demon weapon Arbiter which is in the form of a battle Axe and the other weapon is the angel weapon Osiris which is a scythe. After that you obtain the demon weapon Eryx which is a powerful set of gauntlets that are capable of dealing massive damage to a single target and each attack can be charged for greater effect. Then the angel weapon Aquila which are a pair of shuriken like projectiles, emitting waves of energy when thrown at enemies.

Onto the range weapons, now of course I already explained about Ebony and Ivory but then there are two other range weapons just as well. The second ranged weapons is Revenant which is a powerful shotgun, useful for clearing crowds of enemies, and dealing high damage at close range. The third one is, I love the name of this weapon, Kablooey which is a firearm that fires explosive needles. These needles stick into enemies, and must be manually detonated. Multiple shots can be fired before detonating. The more shots, the more damage.

I personally like using Eryx and Aquila as my demon weapons and as my ranged weapons I switch between the twin pistols and the shotgun Revenant.

The combo system in this game awesome and the style points is How many points are earned from combat during the mission. The more stylish your fighting, the higher the points. Style Points are given a rank just like the overall Style Rank. There are seven ranks in total:

SSSensational
SSadistic
Savage
Anarchic
Brutal
Cruel
Dirty
The letter(s) will gradually fill up during battle. Each letter is a multiplier to the Style Points earned in combos. D = 2x, C = 3x, and so on to 8x.

Fight in various ways to fill up the meter inside the letter until it reaches the next level. Using abilities and various weapon combos will easily increase the style rating. Using the same combo within a short time will lessen the value. Try killing enemies without taking damage, parrying, evading, using different combos, using aerial combos, getting environmental kills, and more.

If Dante is hit during battle, the rank will get knocked down two letters.

The style rank is what you get after every level and determines what your grade is and depends on five certain areas like style points, time, completion, items (where if you used items it deduces your overall score) and deaths. Those five things determine your overall grade for each level that you complete.

I give DMC: Devil May Cry a buy it rating... If you don't want to buy it at the $60 price then you can get it at a lower price but I highly recommend you to get this game if you can. The game is also rated M for Mature because of Blood, gore, alcohol usage, sexual references and of course... LANGUAGE!!!!!

Alright guys that's all the time for this post... Don't for get to share the posts, like it, +1, and comment. Also follow me on twitter and Hmu on google+. Until next time, Love Peace and Bacon Grease *Smoke Bombs Out*

The Finale is coming

The die has been cast, all moves have been made, the players have played their parts, and the gauntlet has been laid. The Batman Story of "Death of the Family" is coming to an end and the final issue comes out Feb. 13th and all answers will be answered. Where is Alfred? Who will Die? Who Lives? Will Batman finally break his code and kill Joker? And for the love of Konohagakure, What is underneath those covers that is so bloody and that the joker is holding (see pic below). Batman issue #17 is where the epic conclusion is going to happen and once again it comes out Feb. 13th, it will be $2.99, 40 pages long and I'm actually excited for the days surrounding Valentines Day. It all comes down to this, Batman vs. Joker one last time and the question that everyone is wondering is who will come out this and who will bite the crowbar (sorry Jason Todd)
